Contributing to social peace through cross-cultural understanding
A good documentary program is made up of just a few moments of footage from hundreds of hours of shooting. It can only be produced after months, or even years, of careful research and trust between contributors and the production team.
Our philosophy is to approach the theme you, the producer, are trying to weave together with respect, understanding the layers of history and culture involved. It is our goal to help you carefully create a work of art with unmatched depth of information, views, and analysis. We feel that the most important thing underlying this process is tolerance and mutual understanding of different cultures.
In our projects, many of which are international co-productions, we place great importance on understanding these cultural differences. Because of these differences, meetings and careful discussions are held many times in order to achieve the most effective results. This continues not only on the days of shooting, but also during the editing process - and thus enabling a more indepth and powerful final product.
We are not delusional that the process is smooth and without problems. Any misunderstandings or conflicts that may arise in the process of understanding are quickly addressed and dealt with as food for true mutual understanding. Rather than viewing these moments as obstacles, we approach them as opportunities to enhance the overall experience and end results.
Through the final images we help produce, your viewers (and you!) will experience simulated values they never knew existed, and their views of their own lives, of other people, and the world will change for the better.

Founder
The name BeneRoots originates from the Japanese word “ZenKon”, which means “the root of good”. After a bit of wordplay gymnastics between Japanese, English, and Italian, BeneRoots was born. It is our goal to constantly pursue being the root of good, and the world, in helping our clients with cross-cultural understanding and education.
Additionally, our logo pays homage to our founder's family name Zentoh, while at the same time drawing upon the ancient Jomon wisdom of living together in mutual peace and understanding.
